  1. Nice Article! I'm glad you looked it up because when she first told us I didn't really believe it. I couldn't fathom how? IT said in the article: "Cooling the scalp dramatically causes the blood vessels surrounding hair roots to contract, reducing the amount of chemotherapy drugs delivered to the follicle, Rugo said. " Interesting...though its not FDA approved yet in the U.S I think its great strides to help women especially get through the cancer treatment with a speedy and comfortable recovery!

  2. Yeah this is great! I had to check it out because we never talked about this in class and none of the visitors brought it up. The technology seems expensive though so unfortunately, i don't think all women/cancer patients can benefit from this breakthrough treatment.

  3. I wonder how comfortable it is for the patients to wear this. I'm just imagining how it would feel to have something so cold on my head for an extended amount of time. But in support of this treatment, my high school teacher had breast cancer and one day she broke down and started crying in the class room because her head was so hot and there was no way to cool it down. She said she tried everything, even putting her head in the freezer and that did not work. I can just imagine the discomfort she felt and if such a treatment could have prevented the this it should be available for all cancer patients in the usa and around the world.
